Is the person who God has leave the World Race early any less a World Racer than the one who completes all 11 countries?
The answer is simply.. No.
The intent of this blog is simply to help that one World Racer who knows they heard The Lord tell them it is time to leave the field, but they are kind of just stuck, uncertain, or even discouraged to actually get up and go.
I ventured out onto the World Race in January 2016 with A squad. The Lord showed me the path and I chose it with a resounding “YES!”. I mean what better than traveling to 11 countries in 11 months to spread the word about Jesus?! Seriously, coming on the race was a God thing and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.. I have learned so much in the past 5 months that I wouldn’t have been able to learn in the comforts of my “normal life”. I have seen men, women, and children join the body of Christ; poverty that confounded me; and, the faces of children light up at the sight of a world racer. How beautiful a time it has been to serve The Lord! However, The Lord is shifting me into a new season.
Currently, my squad is headed into Month 5 of ministry, while I am on a plane heading back to Washington, DC. I imagined my homecoming would be in November with my entire squad… Candice cackling on the plane and all the things. God obviously had other plans, which is pretty much the story of my life. He likes to shake things up quite a bit with me, but at the end of the day it all comes together and makes sense. He’s good like that!
I cannot pretend to know all the “why’s”, but I have so much peace and rest in the one who has all of the answers…so I know as long as I am in the will of The Lord It is well.
I’m excited to see what The Lord has in this new season… Day by day I will continue choosing to partner with The Lord, while releasing Kingdom wherever He calls me.
