Many people have asked how they can pray for me during this journey. Last night in my community group, I was reminded what the one thing I need prayer for the most: to fix my eyes on Jesus.
With everything in my life, I feel like my focus is being torn away from the King. I am trying to finish my classes, get my things in order, fundraise, work, and so many other little things. With all of that, I have lost sight of why I am even doing the World Race. That reason is Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ alone.
My favorite song right now is “Fix My Eyes” by for King and Country. Here are the lyrics:

Stand face to face with the younger me
All of the mistakes
All of the heartbreak
Here’s what I’d do differently
I’d love like I’m not scared
Give when it’s not fair
Live life for another
Take time for a brother
Fight for the weak ones
Speak out for freedom
Find faith in the battle
Stand tall but above it all
Fix my eyes on you
Through the WR, I want to love like I’m not scared, give when it’s not fair, live life another, take time for a brother, fight for the weak ones, speak out for freedom, find faith in the battle, and to stand tall. But my ultimate goal for the WR is to fix my eyes on Jesus. I don’t want the adventure and the travel and the little things to distract me from my Maker, my Savior, my Father, my King, my Lord, my Jesus.
Please pray for my team and I to have our eyes continually fixed on the One who sent us to the nations in the first place.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2
