Hey everyone!
after spending 10 hours waiting in the airport, a 2 hour flight… where i was OUT COLD…, and piling 70 bodies and their bags into a bus that was only intended to hold 24 passengers… I HAVE SAFELY ARRIVED!
It was so strange to look out on one side of the bus and see the BEAUTIFUL and breath-taking carribbean on my left… and then to glance to the right and mentally see a knot form in my tummy as i see the poverty-struck land. it´s like this completly backwards exchange of emotions.
we are currently in the Dominican Republic… 30 minutes from the Santo Domingo airport, where we will stay for a few days to do a little team bonding and briefing before heading out and beginning our ministry in haiti.
walking from our compound to the internet cafe was QUITE the walk.
you can feel the spiritual tension in the air, but God is so faithful to bles me in the smallest ways.
as we began to walk towards the internet cafe, my heart was almost suddenly filled with sad thoughts.. and it was like God said, ¨no, not gonna happen alexandra!¨ and i looked up to this woman in a car who looked right back at me and said, ¨wow, you´re beautiful¨ straight at me in spanish. Instantly i was reminded of the presence of God and how even in the toughest of situations, He is in control and He is HERE! He is the God of this nation!!! i smiled back and thanked her as her car sped off.
please pray for continued safety for everyone on our squad
pray for fully rested bodies
please pray for my voice to come back. i completely lost it and will need it to lead worship!
and pray for an outpouring of God´s Spirit as we prepare for this task at hand… and as we come into contact ith the locals here.

i love you guys and miss you already! thanks for all the sweet comments on my previous posts. they mean SO MUCH TO ME. i am encouraged to know you guys are all praying for me and following along… joining me in this ministry.
