Quick update on our time in Romania:

We arrived in Arad a week ago with high hopes that we would be working at a children's camp all month. Best month of ministry yet! We were so excited to finally work kiddos for a month straight and to not be doing manual labor. But I guess God wanted us to continue building up our muscles because a month of manual labor is exactly what this month is going to be. I'm beginning to think my parents sneaked this idea of the World Race into my head just to teach me how to do hard work and learn the life skills of a farmer haha.

Nonetheless, our ministry this month is prepping this gorgeous property for kids to come in July. We are learning to find joy in our toil under the sun, because joy is absolutely a choice and if we can't find satisfaction in our every day work, then we are wasting these few days on earth (Ecclesiastes 5:18 <– look it up, it's real good). While I mow, wash gas tanks, or clean dishes, I am seeking out Jesus and praying over the property, kids to come, and Romania as a whole. He is showing me just how huge and important intercessory prayer is for bringing His kingdom here on earth.

Here is a picture of our view err'day:

Not too shabby eh?

Speaking of prayer, I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers to heal my knees. We finished work early yesterday due to the rain, and my friend Emily invited me to try to run with her. There have been many times in the past couple of months where I wanted to run in spite of the pain, and convincing myself that I could push through it because I love running. Unfortunately I never had the courage, or rather – perhaps I had the wisdom to not make them worse than they already were. But after two days of only minor pain when climbing up our 86 stairs here on the property, I was feeling good. I've been praying about it a lot lately and I felt God saying in that moment that He wanted me to run; that I am healed and to go on pain free.

So I did. I ran and ran, thanking God the whole way while looking at the vibrant green hills and admiring the beautifully broken down houses. It was the first time I was able to run in 3 months and I almost cried I was so humbled and thankful to God for my knees and ability to run again. I took my perfect health for granted and I will never do that again. My faith during this time hasn't wavered one bit, in fact the process of hurt –> healed has only increased my faith and love for God. I never knew how important my knees were until it hurt to use them! I'm glad He gave me them and that I can walk, climb stairs, workout, and run without pain now.

It's hard to imagine this experience is half-way over. With that in mind, I'm going to attempt to blog more frequently than I have been in past months. I really appreciate my supporters and I want to keep you in the loop about how your prayers and money are changing my life and others around me. Like I said a couple months ago, this is your journey too. So thank you 🙂 and I am only $1,900 away from my last deadline on July 1st! God is good, God is so so good.

Much Love,

-Alexandra
