Hello!! I hope you and your family are looking forward to a year full of memories, laughter, and joy. I’m writing to inform you on what God’s been doing in my life recently.
Over this summer, I spent a month in Haiti doing an internship with Upstream International and God really showed me how he moves in different ways all around the globe. He sparked my curiosity which led me to seek out more opportunities. After lots of thought and prayer, I realized he was leading me down the path of The World Race.
The World Race is an 11 month mission program where our purpose is to spread the gospel as we serve and partner with global ministries. My team and I will be traveling to Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia from October 2020-September 2021. We will be serving the organizations in whatever ways they need. In some countries, this could look like helping run a Vacation Bible School program, and in others it could look like hiking into the mountains to reach people who have never heard the name of Jesus.
My biggest goal in this whole journey is to grow in empathy and compassion. For me, there is no better way to learn about others than to experience their life and culture first hand. God’s character is hidden around the world in all these places and people, and I hear His voice telling me to go and find it.
In order to do this, I need your help. Right now I am in the process of building my prayer team and my financial support team. My prayer team will be working alongside me by connecting with God and keeping updated on the prayer requests I will be sending out through my blog (I will leave the URL below), and my financial support team will help me become fully funded for this experience.
I need to raise $17,700 in order to be fully funded. Many have joined this team already, and I would love to see you on this team as well. It is my goal to ask 800 people for at least $20 and would love to have you join my team. God is faithful, will see your contribution, and will bless you beyond measure. There are many ways to give– cash, checks, and Venmo are options, but within the blog that I mentioned earlier, you will be able to find updates about my trip and a link to give a one-time donation or monthly donations.
