I’ve been in the Philippines for a few weeks enjoying time with my family and the beautiful culture of my families homeland. And in my time here I’ve been trying to figure out fundraisers and preparations for this quickly approaching journey.
You see I have always loved the arts. I found a little comfy spot in photography but have dreamed of being naturally talented at painting, singing, dancing or anything really. So on a whim, I went out and gathered a whole bunch of art supplies and canvases in hopes to create something for a fundraiser. The moment I got home I thought to myself, what. did. I. do. I’m no painter and I can be pretty impatient when it comes to paint drying (And get this, I bought oil paint.. not even realizing it is so difficult to paint with and takes FOREVER to dry). Oh the irony..right? Even though I don’t believe I’m really great at it, I attempted to find a creative nitch in my wanna-be-artistic self. And I’ve come to the conclusion that I cannot stay away from expression through any type of art because I believe any display of raw emotion is beautiful. Through a lot of frustration and judgement upon myself I started to paint on these little canvases. I actually have several sizes but the ones pictured below are what I’ve done so far! My hopes are that you would come alongside me as I try to paint these pictures and have a great little kick off to my first official fundraiser (:
- I do have a few baby easels that go great with displaying paintings! You can place them on a work desk or on a night stand and they reduce space!
- If you’d like a personally made picture I can tell you that I can try my best and put 100% of my heart into it!
- If you donate $12 or more you get a small canvas and $15 or more a small canvas and an easel! There will be more artwork and larger sizes to come in the near future!
- ALSO!
- I have these handcrafted journals from the Philippines that are made from all natural products (:
- If you donate $20 or more you can have one!
- Colors available: Orange, Red, Dark Blue, Beige, Dark Green, Light Green, Aqua, Teal, Cream/Beige, Purple
