Hi family & friends!
I just wanted to write you a quick blog about what my team and I are doing here in Mwanza, Tanzania.
This month we are living in a house provided to us by the Pastor of the local church we are doing ministry with. The Pastor’s daughters and some of the other ladies cook each of our meals for us. It is such a blessing, and the food is delicious! This home definitely has “southern hospitality” written all over it. It makes me feel like I am back in Tennessee, and it’s so comforting!
We are living on a hillside in the city. The church we are serving with is next door to where we live. From the front of the church you can look out and see down the side of this little mountain. It makes me think that this church is living out
Sunday morning– leading childrens Sunday School and the adult Sunday School, as well as preaching during the main service
Monday evening– lead the youth service and encourage them to live out their faith
Tuesday evening– Woman’s ministry (which has included doing yard work around the church with the women and their children)
Wednesday evening– lead a bible study and spend time worshipping together
Thursday evening– watch their choir practices….they sound amazing! I am in love with African worship.
Friday evening– help facilitate a prayer gathering
Saturday- is our day of rest!
Also, during the week will be doing home visits and hospital visits in the afternoons.
I write this to you to ask for your prayers over each of these ministries. This month my team and I are doing a lot of public speaking and giving messages. Join me in praying for each of us to be bold in the Spirit, and to enjoy any opportunity to speak about our great Father. Also, be in prayer for the hearts that will be there to receive whatever the Lord has for them.
Each day I grow closer and closer to my fantastic Father,
& my heart is full of such joy!
