We are a group of 7 courageous and fearless warriors going into the darkest places of the world, and we’re armed. We’re ready to take on the task that God has called us to.
I’ve only spent 10 days with these ladies so far, but they already mean so much to me. I’ve already learned so much from them. I’m a team leader, but I don’t want to lead these ladies on my own. We are all leaders and we are all vital pieces of this team. We each bring our own unique gifts and talents to make this team effective.
But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. All of you together are Christ’s body and each of you is a part of it. – 1 Corinthians 12:18, 27
My prayer for our team is that we would all know who we are in Christ. I pray that we would know that we have a voice that is meant to be heard. I believe that it is so important that all 7 of us truly know our role as women in the kingdom because the enemy wants to shut us down.
In Asian culture, women are often looked down upon, abused, and disrespected in every sense. It’s something that has become normal in that part of the world. And that breaks my heart to pieces.
As women that belong to Christ, we are going to be looked at. I feel like the Asian women that we will come in contact with will see how we act and watch how we speak, and I really believe that it’s going to make a difference. I believe that WE can help them find their confidence in Christ. I believe that WE can help them see that they are VALUED by the King of Kings. I believe that WE can help them see that they are WORTHY and their voice is meant to be HEARD.
I don’t know what all God has prepared for us, but I’m so excited to see who He leads us to. I pray that the women and girls that we meet will be radically transformed through the power of Jesus. Even if we make an impact in just 1 person, I believe they could be the start of cultural breakthrough among the women of Asia.
