It’s the last day in April, so just thought I’d give everybody an update on my fundraising so far! I have raised 49% of my total funds needed!! I’m almost halfway there! This is amazing!! My goal for the month of April was to reach 40% of my funds! Every month that’s gone by, I’ve just been totally blown away by what God is doing. Whenever I feel like it’s getting hard and that there’s no way I can raise more, he provides. So a huge shoutout and thank you to everyone that’s donated. Whether it’s been $5, or $500… your donation has made an eternal impact.
I’ve had some people ask me what exactly I’m raising money for and how is all this money going to be used. So, I came across another racer’s blog that had charts showing how the money is broken down. So I thought, that’s perfect, I’ll use it too.

Saturday May 2, 2015 – Seasons on the Hill Woodwick Candles Open House
This is an event a friend of mine is hosting and is donating a portion of whatever is made towards my trip. She makes and sells all natural, organic soy wick candles. If you’re interested, let me know and I will do whatever I can to make sure you get your candles!! Mothers Day is right around the corner! And let’s be for real, who doesn’t love candles?!
Saturday May 9, 2015 – Garage Sale!
I’m having a HUGE garage sale! It’ll be at my house at 727 Ockley Dr, Shreveport, LA. I will have some pieces of furniture, guitars, LOTS of clothes and shoes, and so much more!! (I also have a huge crawfish boiler, just throwing that out there for all you who are wanting to host a crawfish boil soon!)
Throughout the month of May, I will be selling T-shirts!
I will be selling these shirts for $20 each starting May 1, and will be taking orders through the end of May. These shirts are super soft and breathable. You pay me either with cash or check when you order them, and I’ll send them out to you.
