His hands pinch my cheeks as he says, “Sista, you’re beautiful”.

His hands play chess with me every evening.

His hands tickle my stomach, causing me to laugh uncontrollably.

Raviteja is a little boy with so much energy and a contagious smile. Just seeing his smile lights me up and fills me with so much joy. I can’t help but laugh and be silly when I’m around him.

I’m not sure what his story is, or how he came to be in a orphan’s home in a small village in India. But what I do know is that he loved by God.

God knows all the details of his life and even if it may have been tragic, it is all for His good. I know that Raviteja worships God with everything he has. It’s an incredible site to see a 10 year old boy in the front row of church (not kids church…. big church) drop to his knees and fall on his face before the Lord. He is captivated by God.

I don’t need to speak his language to know it, and I don’t need somebody to tell me. It is evident by the way he lives his life.

So I think to myself, “Is the way that I live my life evident to others that I’m in love with Jesus?”

A 10 year old Indian boy has challenged me in more ways than I could have thought possible.

His hands come together as he prays to God first thing every morning.

His hands grab mine as we walk to church on Sunday.

His hands will change the world.
