Yesterday when I first heard our route was out, I was at Corner Bakery but that in no way stopped me from jumping up and down in DELIGHT! We’re talking Christmas kinda joy here. But I was nowhere near the internet, My friend Brittany’s phone reception was not working, I couldn’t get a hold of anyone to break into my email (I wanted to know soooo bad), and so I wiggled around in the car as I urged my mom to drive faster. It all happened at once, My brother called, Brittany started texting the countries, and exploding joy sprung out of me. My mom I’m sure thought I was nuts. The three texts came 5 minutes apart so the anticipation kept building and each small revelation of our route was a gift. I LOVE that my mom and brother and Amy were all within earshot. ☺
I told my brother that again I am amazed at the paradox of waiting. No one likes to wait; especially if you are waiting for a good thing. You want it now. NOW. But when you finally know it’s always better that you didn’t get it right away. BETTER because you had to couple your yearnings with prayer. BETTER because as you wait anticipation grows and builds on itself. BETTER because when you have it, you know it was meant to be from the start. I LOVE it! Ok honestly the coming to fruition part is what I love. 😉
Now I wait for October for the journey to start, and Ill just let the anticipation build away. I’m gonna chill, and embrace my loved one’s tightly for the next 3 ½ months!
Ok! Here it is….
October – Philippines – Manila
December – Central Africa – Kenya
