“Por amarte robaria un estrella te la regalaria.”  -Enrique Iglesias (he’s the favorite this month!)

The Dump. The smell is more wretched than i can describe, the flies are
incessently friendly, and there is a precious family that has stolen my heart (how is it STILL possible?!). The mother has 9 kids that are very close in age. They are
beautiful barefoot children who hide behind their mother’s skirt and grin shyly at us.
Luis Valerio the littlest boy reminds his mother to bathe him the night before the gringos come. The middle daughters, Ingrid and Raquel, alternate missing school so they can come get a plate a food and stare at us. They don’t talk very much, and while were
singing songs today they were freaked out by the amount of attention they were getting.

BUT then the mother invited me to their home (in the dump) on Thursday, and little Maria Feliz yelled, “No HOY!” I was beaming.

There is so much ugly in this world that it can get overwelming. Yet there is such tender beauty hidden within that there HAS TO BE GOD whispering hope over his cildren that are broken and in terrible circumstances. I still marvel that He chose me to hold hands, wrap my arms around people, share HIS love all over this world. THANK YOU dear supporters, once again for sending me on this trip that has both blessed and shattered my heart countless times.
