"I must admit I’m not very good at blogging."

That's the claim I made at the very beginning of this process, and it's holding up very true when it comes to keeping everyone updated. With Launch less than a week away, I figured it was about to time to buckle down and share what I've been wanting to share for weeks! I'll start with what's happened most recently, and work back from there.

1) First, launch is Tuesday. This. Tuesday. My mind cannot wrap around this. It hasn't hit me that I'll be leaving everyone for a year in a matter of days. Woah.

2) I made the second deadline! A little late, but I made it, and it was only by the grace of God. I was a good $1100 short of the deadline with no way I could think of to make the money come in. I didn't know who to ask or what to do. Then one day one of my squad mates asked how short I was of the deadline. I let her know, then a few minutes later she said she got her church to make a donation. The next day I found out I was now only $100 short of the deadline. I was almost in tears and so incredibly thankful. [Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart FPCSLC!]

3) I was given a backpack! I had no idea how I was going to afford one for the race, and one day my friend asked if I would want his. It was such an incredibly generous act and was just another way God used to show His provision.

The preparation process was kinda stressful. Today I got the last of what I'll need before launch, which was very exciting (thanks, mom!).

I'll post another blog I've been working on for a few weeks about the post-training camp/pre-launch life and how awful it is sometime soon. Instead of focusing on that now, I'll bask in the excitement of knowing we're now officially classified as a current squad.
