My time in the Quito area has so far been surreal. I must be dreaming, right? There's no way I'm surrounded by amazing mountainous views, beautiful weather with the opportunity to serve God, right?

We arrived in Quito really late Friday night and made our way to Casablanca, our housing for the next few weeks. It's spectacular and homey and has an really great view of the city.

Saturday we met with the pastor (and his wife) of Iglesia Visión Mundial Para La Familia. What we gathered most from the pastor and his wife was that the church needed renewed, reengergized, reinvigorated hearts, and that we would be able to help with that by inspiring and helping out. Here's a rundown of what our weeks here should look like:

Monday: Free day.

Tuesday: Around 2 we'll head to give a word on missions, sacrifice in commitment and perserverance at the leadership school.

Wednesday: In the morning we'll head to the drug and alcohol rehab facility. Evenings TBD.

Thursday: We'll lead the service at church.

Friday: Mornings TBD. Evenings visiting the house churches.

Saturday:  Mornings will be evangelism at the church, then going to an elderly home. We'll also be using our particular gifts to help impact the church.

Sunday: Leading service, followed by fellowship.

Sunday after church we were invited over to the pastor's house for lunch. We had such good fresh fruit, juice, coffee, and food and dessert. Seriously SO good.

Today was our free day, so my team made our first venture using unassisted public transportation. We made it!
