Hey everyone!! With the New Year and my new route, now is the time to send out new support letters! I’ll be getting them in the mail early next week, but for those whose addresses I don’t have, or for those who simply prefer reading it this way…here’s the electronic version:
To My Dear Family and Friends,
Hello! I hope this letter finds you as well as the last. A few things have changed since you last received a letter from me, so I’m writing to update you on my status with the World Race.
Most of you are already aware, but for those that have not yet heard, a few months ago I made the decision to delay leaving on the World Race, so instead of leaving in January of this year I will now be leaving in July. I really feel strongly that this is where God is calling me to go so when He spoke to my heart about switching I had to follow! My mission will remain the same; however, several of the countries I will be visiting are different. I will now be traveling to Swaziland, South Africa, Botswana, Estonia, Latvia, Thailand, Cambodia, India, Nepal, Guatemala, and Nicaragua!
As I stated in my previous letter, every day on the World Race will be different, but ultimately the goal will be to “reach the unreached” (which I have recently made a personal motto of mine and included on my latest fundraising t-shirts). My team and I will be partnering with ministry contacts in each country to serve churches and ministries in local communities, preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in human trafficking, etc. This will also be a very personal journey for me as well, as I draw even closer to the Lord through these works and grow in my spiritual walk.
I am continuously grateful for this opportunity and trust that God will provide for my needs! This trip won’t come without some challenges though, so if you haven’t already, I would like to ask you to consider partnering with me in my ministry, both prayerfully and financially…and if you have before, I would like to ask if you would consider continuing to partner with me over the course of the next year and a half! The support that I have received so far has blown me away and I am so thankful!
Currently I am 12% funded and stand at just over $2,000 in my WR account. I still have $14, 200 to go before being fully funded, but I know it’s possible! As a reminder, the overall cost covers all of my expenses on the field (travel, housing, food) as well as training camp and administration fees, and the new addition of medical insurance. You can help support me financially by giving a one-time gift or a monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount, beginning and end dates.
If you are interested in supporting me financially, here are you donation options:
1. By Check: Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions and return the response card I’ve enclosed with your donation to: Adventures In Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA, 30374-2570 (and put my name in the memo line). AIM will send you a receipt for your donation (donations are tax deductible!)
2. DynaPay (EFT) or Credit/Debit Card: Visit adventures.org/give or simply visit my blog site at aleisamifflin.theworldrace.org. Just click the “Support Me!” link on the left-hand side of the page and complete your donation as instructed (and feel free to read a blog post or two while you’re there!).
3. I will also need financial support for extra personal money while on the field (i.e. unforeseen medical expenses, travel day trips, clothing, souvenirs, etc.) so if you would prefer to help me in this way that would be greatly appreciated as well! The simplest way to do this is by sending funds to my personal PayPal account ([email protected]). You can also send personal checks.
If you are unable to support me financially, I would ask that you please support me in prayer. Prayers are the biggest part of all of this and the most helpful. Please pray that the Lord prepares me and my fellow squad and team members for the journey that lies ahead; also pray for the countries we will be visiting and the people we will be ministering to. I know God is going to move in the hearts of many over the next year and a half, and I pray He moves in yours as well.
I want to thank you again (and in advance) for your prayers and financial support. I never would have made it this far without you and I am so blessed. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this amazing journey!
In Christ,
Aleisa Mifflin
