“Who cuts a channel for the torrents of rain, and a path for the thunderstorm, to water a land where no one lives, an uninhabited desert, to satisfy a desolate wasteland and make it sprout with grass?”
{Job 38:25-27}

Why create grass and make it rain in a desolate land, if no man will ever see it or even know of it’s existence? So much of God’s creation will forever remain undiscovered by man…and yet even in the smallest of things that we might call insignificant, obsolete, unnecessary…He calls beautiful, precious, and His.
And if He pours so much detail and care and love into those things…how much more will He pour into us!!

This month in Belize has really brought back my wonder and amazement, my joy and thankfulness: From the bus ride in seeing all the lush green palm trees, to the boat ride to shore through the variations of blue waves. From each minute grain of sand and each type of coral under the sea, to every colorful school of fish and the graceful yet terrifying sting rays… The sunrises, the sunsets, the rocky back road bike rides and hitch-hiking on golf carts. The unexpected air-conditioned buses, the spacious rustic jungle huts, and fields on fields of stars.

All I know is God’s presence is so strong here in Belize. It’s literally all around us, in His beautiful creation and His beautiful people. And I can’t wait to discover more. More of this country, more of the ministries, more of what God is teaching me through all this…more of Him.

“May we never lose our wonder.
May we never lose our wonder.
Wide eyed and mystified, may we be just like a child,
staring at the beauty of our King.”
