By now, most of you know that I need to raise just over $16,000 to participate in the full 11 months of the World Race (of which I have currently raised just over $3,500 as you can see by the status bar above). After hearing this amount people usually have to pick their jaw up off the floor (I know I did!). What helped me wrap my mind around raising that amount of money was knowing where and what that money was going to. I recently came across another racer’s blog (Caitlin Strecker) who’s teammate put together these super handy figures. So let’s break it down… Training Camp– $320 (For a week in May (3 weeks from now) I will travel down to Atlanta to meet my squad and get an idea of what the next year will be like. From what I’ve read, there’s going to be a lot of weird food, awkward moments, and so much Jesus…as well as not so many showers & lots of smelly racers). So there you go!! An overall breakdown of where your donations are going and how they will be used. I still have a long ways to go to reach that overall goal of $16,000 in order to stay the full 11 months on the Race. I pray that you will consider donating and partnering with me in this journey, and if you would like to do so, you can simply click the “Support Me” link at the top of the page!! A HUGE THANK YOU to all of my current supporters…y’all seriously rock, and I couldn’t have made it this far without you. |
