Aloha friends & family,

I’ve reached the halfway mark of my race. Well, a little over half… Craaaazzyy! I am now on month 7 in the beautiful country of Montenegro! I can’t believe it. I’ve had all sorts of days these past months. Many are filled with fun and awesome adventures, but then there’s the not-so-fun. Like dealing with weird time differences or transitioning from different cultural foods. Don’t forget the long travel days to the next country and having to debate whether or not I should drink water on a 22 hour bus ride (if I do I’ll be perfectly hydrated, but I might also stop in a random place with no toilets and be forced to pop a squat near a bush… yea, I pass). I’m extremely exhausted on some days, got the sniffles on others, and on rare occasions I wanna ignore the world and watch a movie by myself (that’s totally normal, right?). However, despite the minor bumps in the road God continues to be my strength and I’m literally in awe of the journey He has me on. I’ve learned to embrace it all – the good and the ugly. Otherwise, everything would be quite boring.

Anyway, here’s a small life update – on the 16th of this month, I turned 24!!! I’m feeling some aches and pains, but surely that’s due to this year’s lifestyle. I can’t admit that I’m “old” as my brother and sister would call me. I want to thank everyone who wished me a happy birthday & made my week an unforgettable one!

Lastly, I’d like to update you all on fundraising. As you already know, we did not have the luxury of wifi in Ethiopia and because of our lack of communication to our supporters the deadline has been extended to March 31st! That’s in 11 days! I am nearly fully funded as I have only $390 left to fundraise. I am so grateful for the prayers and support I’ve received from every individual, but let’s not stop here. We’re almost there!! Please donate as you feel led. The “support” link is at the top of my profile. Mahalo & God bless!

With love,

Alany-Grace
