In Guatemala, I had the opportunity to lead worship in a Witch’s Cave.  I’ve been to different churches in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and The Philippines to lead worship.  And after spending the last month building relationships with women in the bars on Bangla Road, what better way to end than with a 2 hour worship set in one of the bars?!  I still can’t believe it actually happened, but it did.  A group of us girls, who have never all played together before, pretty much rocked out for Jesus at Coyote Bar.  Loads of people came by and watched for a few minutes here and there, others stayed longer.  Conversations were started by team members who were outside the bar in case people had questions about what was going on.  We were the busiest bar by far!

2 asian ladies came and sat down.  Neither of them knew much English but told one of the team members, “I don’t know what they are singing about but everyone seems so happy.”  The bar owner said he felt like the place was full of peace.  Other people came up to me and said there was “something” in the way I sang.  So even though those that watched may not have known exactly what was going on, they knew something was different.  The atmosphere shifted around us.  At one point I did explain why we were there and talked about God’s love.  Who knows what seeds were planted that night but I am so blessed to have been able to have that experience!
