One week from today I will be flying to LA on a one-way ticket.
One week from today I will have all of my belongings for 11 months in a backpack.
One week from today I will be leaving everything I know and am comfortable with.
One week from today I will wake up not knowing what to expect.
One week from today I will be taking pieces of heaven to places of hell on earth.
One week from today I will start to live in community with 60+ world changers.
One week from today I will begin the journey of a lifetime.
One week.  7 days.  168 hours.  I can’t believe it’s actually here.  I feel excited, nervous, anxious, ready to start but a list of a million things to do before I am in fact “ready.”  I want to thank everyone who has donated, prayed, supported, bought bracelets, car washed, encouraged and loved me through all of this.  If I start naming individuals this would be the longest post of all time, so I will refrain.  But I hope you know who you are.  I appreciate you so much and cannot thank you enough.
I will spend the next week saying my goodbyes, buying last minute items, getting a couple shots, packing and then taking out half and re-packing.  If I do not get the chance to say a formal farewell to you, know that it’s not really a goodbye anyways.  It’s….see you later!  Eleven months later to be exact.  And with this blog and Skype (lanee0814) and email ([email protected]) it won’t seem like I am half way around the world; at least that’s what I keep telling myself!  Thank you again for everything.  This experience would not be possible without YOU!
