Hey, hey, hey… family and friends! I just wanted to give you all an update on what's happening with the World Race. Every now and then, I'll be posting updates like this on here. Aside from that, I'll post stories from my own life and experiences on the Race. I'm also hoping to profile some of the people I'll encounter while on the Race through pictures and stories.
WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW: In exactly 2 weeks, I'll be down in Georgia, getting prepped for launching on the World Race. Our first stop is Bucharest, Romania, and my team (TEAM FIERCE – pictured below) and I will be spending the month serving at an orphanage there. I'm stoked to see how God will use us!!

MY HEAD AND HEART: At this very moment, my head's spinning from all the things I have yet to do before leaving Pennsylvania. Soooooo many details; so little time. And I'm not a fan of details, so this is kind of tricky for me. I'm a little tired at the moment (not sleeping enough), so I'm sipping on a Dunkin' Donuts coffee and switching between listening to upbeat, energetic pop music and peaceful, soothing worship music. It seems to be doing the trick for keeping me sane and moving forward. And the coffee's helping too, but I'm trying not to drink TOO MUCH because then I'll be bouncing around like a chihuahua on crack (yep, I just said that :). Every now and then when I start driving myself crazy trying to figure out how I'm going to get it all done, God gives me a love tap to remind me that He's still here – and He's the one in control. So, overall, my head and heart are in good shape.
FUNDS: God has been super awesome in providing financial support for the Race. Praise Papa for His awesome provisions!! So far, I've hit every deadline. I still need to raise about $7000 in support. My next deadline is December 1, and to hit that I need to raise about $2,300 more by then.
I want to thank all of you for your generous support, encouragement and prayers! All of your love is definitely helping me to step boldly into what God has ahead for my life.
PRAYER REQUESTS: Right now I could really use some prayer – that God would help me to find time to spend with Him, in the word and in prayer. I also need prayer that I would continue yielding to God and not get caught up in stressing myself out – which I can tend to do at times. I seem to thrive on madness but it's always at the expense of relationships and time with God, and right now it's those relationships which I need most. Also, prayer that everything that needs to get done yet would work out smoothly.
God is so good, my friends! He really, truly, deeply is!! Honestly, even though things are kind of crazy right now, I'm at the best place I've ever been in my life, and it's all because of Him!
