It’s month 9 of the World Race and we started it off by having new team changes. This team will be my third and final team during this whole 11 month journey around the world. I’d like to introduce you to the 6 other team members who will be my family for the remaining of the Race.

Jay, Jenn, Karen, Carrie, Aimee, Blake and Caity (Caity is being held)

Well call ourselves team “Relentless Pursuit” because we want to relentlessly pursue Christ with everything we have during these last few months on the Race. So without further adieu, here is my new team!

Meet Carrie Morris. She is from Memphis, TN, and she definitely is a huge Memphis Grizzlies fan. She has a voice like an angel and has a heart for the people in Cambodia. She would love to go back to Cambodia again one day. Carrie is our team leader (and an excellent one at that, I might add!). I am excited to see where God takes her during these last few months on the Race. Fun fact about Carrie: the number 13 is a special and lucky number to her and her family. To learn more about Carrie, visit her blog: http://carriemorris.theworldrace.org/.

Meet Blake Meehan. Blake is 28 years old and is from Charlotte, NC. He loves to run — he even ran a 10K last month in Uganda during debrief! But what he loves even more than running is preaching and sharing the gospel. Blake is the finance leader for our team, and he takes his job really seriously. He even goes to great lengths to give us exact change (which can really be a pain in the rear to get sometimes when you are in foreign countries). Meet Jay and Jenn Dannelley. They are both 28 years old and the one and only married couple on M Squad, and they just celebrated 2 years of marriage earlier this year. Before coming on the Race, they lived in Eagle River, AK, which is just north of Anchorage. Why Alaska?! Because Jay was in the Coast Guard, that’s why! And Jenn worked as a pharmacist at Target in Alaska. Both Jay and Jenn have a passion for helping people and they would love to open up a mobile clinic overseas one day. (The child that they are holding is not their’s… it’s just another cute African kid.) To learn more about the Dannelley’s, visit their blog: http://jayandjenndannelley.theworldrace.org/.

Meet Karen Aiello. She just turned 27 years old earlier this week (on September 24th). She is from Port St. Lucie, FL, and she LOVES anything and everything Disney. With Disney World literally being on your back porch, who wouldn’t love Disney?! But the one thing that I have learned about Karen is that her heart belongs in Africa. We had the privilege of staying in Kitale, Kenya, this month as a team. Kitale holds a special place in Karen’s heart because her kids live here (they are pictured above, Oliver and Veronicah). She has been here to Kenya twice before, and she was so elated to visit the kids she has been supporting for the last few years. Meet Caity Lewis, our youngest team member. She is 21 years old and she is from Bethany, OK. She was on my first team of the Race, team Intentional Vagabonds. She is my closest friend on the entire Squad, and I am very happy to have her on my team again! Currently she is obsessed with watching Criminal Minds and Big Bang Theory. I have seen Caity grow so much since the beginning of the Race; she has grown in her confidence in herself and in Christ. So that is my team for the next few months! Thanks for reading my blog!

Love,

Aimee
