Yesterday I was released from the hospital and I feel SOO good today! No more IV's, no more taking 15+ pills a day, no more pain and I can (finally) breathe again! I will be on two different antibiotics for the next week and I am supposed to take it easy for the next 2 weeks or so as my body needs to finish recovering from the pneumonia.
Life is good outside the hospital, but today I have been attempting to start the processing of filing for insurance – not exactly my idea of fun or how I'd like to spend my time recovering, but hey, that's life. Yay for being an adult!
My insurance policy will cover only 80% of the bill after my I pay the $500 deductible (which I did before I was released from the hospital yesterday). My entire stay at the hospital was $6,800. Since I am responsible for 20% of the bill, this means that I will have to pay about $1,400 in hospital bills. Since I have not yet been in constant contact with the insurance company, I am not sure how the bill(s) will be sent to me.
I know that so many of you have prayed from all over the world for me, and I cannot express my gratitude to you all for how much I appreciate the prayers. I have one more prayer request for you all. Please pray that God will provide the funds necessary for me to pay this hospital bill. It is kind of hard to pay this bill when I am not working and have no source of income this year. AND when I didn't expect to get seriously sick this year.
So far, I have collected about $300 from some of you who have felt the calling to help support me in this way, and for that I am beyond thankful. If any of you would like to help and bless me out in this way, I would be so grateful. The easiest way to get funds to me is via PayPal since I am halfway around the world right now from most of you. Again, thank you all SO much for your prayers during my pneumonia sickness. God has heard your prayers and healed me, and I know I wouldn't be feeling this great right now if it weren't for you all.
