In case you haven't already heard my route has changed! Instead of going to Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda I will now be adventuring to South Africa, Swaziland and Mozambique!
I wasn't initially excited for this change – honestly I think most of X squad believing we made it out of training camp with no route change thought things would therefore remain the same. However I am incredibly excited about the opportunity to go to these new African countries. I'm excited for the ministry opportunities we will encounter – and I am beyond excited to see the homeland,and see where my family comes from. In grieving the loss of Eastern Africa I read these words, beautifully written by one of the gentlemen of X squad
As countries and plans change leading up to this trip it just reminds me of Jesus and his disciples. He didn't give them the exact schedule in advance. He just said "follow me."… God just wants us to say yes to him regardless of what the instructions are!… So I am beyond excited to go to whatever country we end up in. Who needs details anyway?
and how right he is! Isn't this what life as a believer is really all about? Following him wherever he leads – so if that means going to Southern Africa as opposed to Eastern Africa then I say bring it on, because at the end of the day its all about glorifying Him.
