I am so thankful for all of you that have supported this ministry so far.  I know we are counting down the days till launch, but the journey is not almost over – it is just beginning!!!  I want you to know that for every person that has said a prayer, thought about the world race, donated a pop can, helped in any way…. all of you – every single person is a part of this journey.  We are all a part of bringing the FRUITFULNESS OF THE KINGDOM TO THE BARENESS OF THE LAND.  It seems like people think that if they are not physically going on the plane, not actually hammering the nail, not really holding the orphan, then they are not as much a part of the mission.  But, on the contrary…. you are the most important, most vital part of the trip – YOU ARE THE SENDER!  And, I am so thankful!!

Isaiah 6:8-9 (ESV)

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” And He said, “Go…..

I love this verse.  I have been thinking about it a lot lately and I noticed something…. First there was a need (someone had to go), then there was a willingness (here I am… send me… pick me!), and then there was a sending (and He said “Go…).

The great commission is everyone’s “calling”, it is God’s will for every life, it is a loud and clear “hearing from God”.  We are all to be a part of it in some way.  Some may physically go but maybe others are to be senders.

God never meant to send anyone out alone.

Matthew 28:19-20 (NLT)
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

He said this: I am with you always.  Between willingness and actually going takes preparation, teaching, guiding… A sender is one who equips, one who encourages.  Since, a sender’s job is so vital to the mission process, to the Great Commission,
without them the journey becomes lacking, incomplete.

Neal Pirolo writes in “Serving as senders”…”Those who go and
those who serve as senders are like two units on the same cross-cultural
outreach team.  Both are equally important. Both are vitally involved
in the fulfillment of the great commission. Both are dynamically
integrated and moving toward the same goal. Both are assured success,
for those in God’s work are on the winning team! Today no cross-
cultural worker should leave home without a strong, integrated,
educated, knowledgable, excited-as-he-is active team of people who have
committed themselves to the work of serving as senders.  The responsible
action you take is as important as the ministry your field worker
performs.  And the reward of souls for His kingdom will be equal to your
missionary’s and your own faithfulness….
… Prayerfully consider serving as a sender in any one or more of
six areas of support:
moral support – just “being there”
logistics support – all the bits and pieces
financial support – money, money, money
prayer support – spiritual warfare at it’s best
communication support – letters, tapes, and more
re-entry support – more than applauding the safe landing
Each area has its unique responsibilities; each is best served by
specific gifts within the Body of Christ. Allow His Spirit to speak to
your heart about your possible involvement in one of these phases of
support.

Romans 10:13-15 (NLT)

For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  But how
can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how
can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can
they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go
and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How
beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

Feet need shoes!!

…. Without the needed tools provided from the “senders”, the one being sent may not get very far…
