I love Uganda.  I love what God is doing here – to this nation… and to me!  Something is changing.  Something is different.  I can’t explain to you exactly what it is – but it’s something – something in me.  I have never felt so broken yet so strengthened… so helpless yet so hopeful… so convicted yet so encouraged… so burdened yet so full of joy…  so excited with anticipation!  God has shown up in Uganda.  I’ve seen him.  I’ve felt Him.  I’ve experienced Him…  And I can not stay the same… why would I want to?

I want to be a forward moving person!  I want to walk into the steps that He has laid before me… prepared for me… planned for me!  I can not go back! (Jer. 7:24, Phil. 3:12-16, Heb. 12:1-3).

For me, this month has been some of the most amazing and fun ministry on this race so far!  God has really led our feet and used our hands in so many different places around Mukono, Uganda.  We have been preaching in churches, teaching in schools, and praying for the sick in hospitals.  We have visited, encouraged, and prayed for widows.  We have had the opportunity to hang out and love on some children at the Elizabeth House for Disabled Children.  And, we were privileged enough to get a tour of an orphanage called Noah’s Ark Children’s Ministry.

Out of everything I have experienced on this race so far seeing this orphanage/school/home has encouraged my spirit and impacted my life like nothing else has!  It was started by a couple from the Netherlands, 15 years ago.  Their desire is to take in children and raise them up from nobody to somebody.  They want to raise up a generation of leaders that will make an impact and change Uganda.

It is really hard to put into words what it is like at Noah’s Ark.  It is massive.  It is beyond clean.  It is full of joy, love, and purpose.  It is beyond anything one could imagine.  It is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, power, glory, and wonderful love.

It was just so amazing to see God really be able to change a nation because of one completely willing person!  I have never seen all of God’s promises actually be lived out in one life!  It made me so excited and my spirit come alive just being there… because I know that if God did this through them, because of them, for them, and with themthen He can use me too

God really does want to accomplish more than I could ever dare to ask or hope (Eph. 3:20) – He really, really does!  It is all just so exciting I can hardly stand it!  God wants to use me… to advance His Kingdom… to change His world…  And as long as I am willing – He will!  He promised and He is faithful!  Here I am, Lord.  Send me… use me!
