I have been singing this song to myself constantly since I heard the pre-school children singing it. I love how easy it can be to declare truth over myself… how simple it can be to walk in faith – faith like a child – and believe for happy, healthy, and healed bodies.
These children are drinking unsanitary water, they are eating less in a day than we in the US eat for one meal… There are stories of children walking 4 hours to school and 4 hours home, because getting an education is that important… We met one family – a father, mother, and 5 children – that live in a one room house (less than 100 sq. ft.). The mother told us that the father worked for 80 pesos a day. He worked to buy rice to feed his family. They could afford rice and nothing else. 80 pesos equals about $1.86 USD.
I think about these things and then I watch them… I see their smiles, feel their hugs, hear their laughter… And when I get to see and hear them sing praises to our Father, and bend their knees, fold their hands, and bow their heads in prayer… I am humbled beyond words.
I watch them sing about how happy and healthy they are, and I think about how many times I have complained about my swollen feet. They live by faith and walk in healing because they have to – the Truth is all they have. I want to have faith like that – like a little child. I want to have nothing but Jesus – I want to believe because the Truth is all I have.
(Oh, and my feet are completely healed! …and your feet didn’t blister or swell – Deuteronomy 8:4 NLT… God can not go against His word! Oh how he loves me!!)
