This event is not about how amazing The Benji Taylor Band is (which, by the way they are quite fantastic) and this is not about how adventurous The World Race mission trip is (which, is actually pretty extreme) – it is about Him and how awesome and faithful and BIG He is! It is about how much BIGGER He is then all the crap in this world…. More powerful than poverty, sex-trafficking, hunger, brokenness, disease, loneliness, addictions, homelessnes, depression – anything and everything! It is about us becoming a people no longer allowing ourselves to sit by and watch Satan destroy our city! It is about us coming together – no matter what state, what city, what denomination, what church, what age… but coming to fellowship with our “extended” family and praise our Father and ask Him for mercy, ask Him for deliverance, ask Him for freedom, ask Him for healing, ask Him for direction,…. it is about us ASKING FOR CHANGE!
And, yes – you will get to hear an amazing band. And, yes – you will learn more about this extreme mission trip. And, yes – money will be raised through your generous donations. But none of that matters as much as bringing Glory to our God who is CHANGING THE WORLD. It is about praising Him and thanking Him that He is bringing that CHANGE through us. We are His hands (but our hands have to work). We are His feet (but our feet have to walk). For anything to CHANGE – we have to move. But before can move we have to ask Him for the directions… We have to ASK FOR CHANGE.
Oh, and one more thing – the most important thing – come expecting something REALLY AWESOME to happen! (Well, I really can’t think of anything more awesome, exciting, fantastic, or extreme, than having the privilege of standing in the presence of my King… of getting to spend time with my Savior on a Saturday night – loving and honoring Him….) But, trust me, something REALLY AWESOME is going to happen!
