Well, well, it has been a while since I have worked on an
update…

For the past 7 weeks I have been (mostly) on the west coast,
meeting with people, holding open houses and fundraisers, speaking at churches/
schools, etc. I even had the amazing opportunity to lead a short-term trip for
Adventures in Missions to Haiti. The timing couldn’t have been better for my
time in the west because I was blessed to attend several weddings and events
for people who mean so much to me.

(Leading a team in Carrefour, Haiti for a week in June)

To be honest, the best part of my time at home was being
able to connect with people. I was able to reconnect with so many people that I
hadn’t seen in a long time. I was able to meet with friends from high school,
college, bible studies, church, gymnastics, and even a huge chunk of my
immediate and extended family. What a blessing. J
As I get ready for my time in Thailand all of this was priceless to me.

(Celebrating Jen getting married in San Luis Obispo and running into some old friends)

I want to thank everyone who blessed me with their time over
the last several weeks. Seeing so much amazing support and attendance at my
fundraisers and events meant the world to me, and every get-together was so
special J
Thank you for all of the encouragement and love.

Since it has been a while, I wanted to update everyone on my
financial “status.” I have received several new monthly supporters and have been
blessed with many one-time gifts that are really making a difference.

Before I leave for Thailand I need to have $4,000 in my
account as a buffer for the first 2 months. (I am raising $2,000 a month).  As of July 9 I have $1400. Including current
monthly supporters, this should reach about $2500 by the time I am hoping to
leave in August. This leaves an extra $1500 that I need to raise outside of the current
monthly donations.

Also, in order for me to stay afloat in Thailand, I need to raise $2,000 a month. Currently I am raising about 40%
of this. In order for me to leave I believe I need to have at least 80%
pledged. I have had many people who have showed interest in supporting me, so if the Lord is leading you in that way now is the perfect time 🙂

Originally Amy Duncan and I were planning to leave August
14, but we have pushed our trip back to late August/ early September. Please
keep us in your prayers as we continue trusting the Lord with His timing but
are very eager to get over there and start working with the Thai and Burmese
people that we love so much.

I appreciate you guys so much! Thank you for your
involvement in this ministry and for all your prayers- they are powerful and
the Lord is working!!!
