In my last few days at home, as I’m wrestling with my 65 liter backpack that will haul my belongings over the next 9 months- I’m also wrestling with what I believe about myself. I’ve felt the pressure to surrender to the whispered lies of inadequacy. And just as I have to consider the heaviness of each item in my pack, I must be mindful of the weight of what I choose to believe.
So in the spirit of packing, here are some truths that I am making room for:
I am more powerful than my circumstances.
I get to do this.
I am complete in Him.
I have a story to tell.
The beauty within me is worth cultivating and protecting.
God trusts me with His heart.
God trusts me to share His heart.
I can realize I make mistakes without devaluing who I am.
I am made for this.

Jesus,
thank You for choosing me and wanting me when You didn’t need me. thank You for fighting for this dream with me. thank You for thinking of me when You wanted to send Your love out into the world. thank You for the glory within me that reveals You to others.
Amen.
