The other day I was scrolling through Pinterest and I found this little gem.
It quickly dawned on me that most of my life has been breeze. Now, I have definitely had my challenges, but nothing compared to the journey that I’m about to take. As I was thinking about this quote and how it applies to my life, I felt a stirring in my heart. For the most part, we live our lives the way we want to, choosing the less intimidating path. But I don’t think that’s always what God has for us. For me, I believe that he has called me to a life of service. That is SO scary to think about. If you know me, you know that I don’t live on the edge. The World Race is going to be a huge challenge for me but I am eager to get started because I know that I serve a God that is bigger than any fear I could possibly have.
Isaiah 41:10 says…
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The World Race is most certainly terrifying but sometimes God calls us to step out of our comfort zones to see something amazing.
