Today I woke up another year older. I wanted to spend ample amount of time with God before i spent time with anyone else. In my worship, God showed me today was the day He made me, that I am not a mistake, that I wasn’t made with this pressure to perform. He made me intentionally, with my face in mind, my voice in His ears, He gave me my name and with gifts that are from Him. He said I am with you on this road. He knows the way and it is clear. Just to trust and follow Him. [If you haven’t read my last two blogs, do it, it lines up perfectly]
After reading this, i opened up my journal and the verse was “This is the day the Lord has made, i will rejoice and be glad in it” Heyyyy Yo, today = my birthday! He made me, He made this day!
Then God reminded me that 11 years ago from today is when i was baptized at Oakland Baptist. I hadn’t even thought about that moment in forever. He reminded me of the song that day after my baptism. So like any music lover, i looked up the song and played it. The words in the song, were AHH…. could they be any more perfect! The meaning in these words were so powerful and rang true to who i am and what i believe about God since an early age before FEAR came in. Praise God that He reminds us of who we are and who HE is! We are NEVER alone!
