Announcement!! I am on a new route for the World Race, called Expedition! For those of you wondering what countries and why…Here it goes!
I went to Atlanta a few weeks back to meet my squad (route 3), typically i work on the weekends but by Gods plan He opened it up for me to attend this weekend. I had the opportunity to meet some beautiful people who are going to do great things for God. While i was there though, i felt like i was in the wrong place. I didn’t feel connected, and that left me a little bit discouraged and questioning…why?
Saturday night we did worship in the hotel room (yeah, you can worship God anywhere and any time). Before we did worship, i was asking a married couple how they got involved with the world race. He shared about how they had applied for the expedition route, and began explaining what that route looks like. It is a more dangerous route (sorry family) but its the most unreached population, the places where people don’t want to go. As soon as he was sharing, my heart leaped out of my chest and i couldn’t breathe.
When i returned home, God started reminding me of several words He has spoken over the past two years that started confirming that i was on the wrong route.
Two years ago, i went to India and had the opportunity to witness to a man that was from Spain in the airport. I had this huge desire to go to Spain after this encounter. Fast forward a year later…our ministry looked into going on a Living water project, and i was praying whether i could go or not. God told me no, the next place i would be going to would be “SPAIN”… The first country expedition goes to, is SPAIN. Also, two countries that i have desired to go to is Israel and Egypt.
God gave me a word, months before the world race came about. That at age 27 (this year on the race, i will turn 27…in Israel btw) that i will be “Radical for Him” and put in my spirit Paul, who was the most radical man in the bible. If you know much about paul, He went to the places that nobody wanted to go to and wasn’t afraid to end up in prison (which he did, several times). THAT is the kind of life i want to live for Jesus, yes i know..sounds crazy but it isn’t about me, its about the people knowing who God is!
When i chose route 3, honestly i picked the countries that sounded so awesome to travel to. I didn’t ask God what He wanted, but God gets His way regardless if we listen to him or not sometimes. 🙂 So He had me go through the application and interview process all over again…that was fun! lol
I didn’t sign up for the World Race to go on a “Vacation type mission trip” (which is not to down the other route by any means) but i am doing this because of course God called me to, but secondly because i want to reach people who have never been reached and go to the places that no one wants to go!
Expedition route is quite different from my previous route. It is more Holy spirit led, they trust our team to go where God is leading us and they give us the Freedom to do so!! PRAISE GOD!! We get to go without any limitations and full confidence in the Holy spirit to move us from place to place!! God knows this is my heart!!
I will be going to…Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Cyprus, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan (try to pronounce those last two), Mongolia, and China.
This route is more expensive but how cool is God…. The very next day after being accepted, and knowing that i will need to raise $700 more. God opened up the door with a married couple, who i asked if i could serve them by dog/house sitting for them while they are on vacation and they offered to pay me $100 a DAY for the week!! Thats over $700!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!
