My Story
A little bit about myself – I am 22 years old and from Minnesota. I grew up in the west metro of the Twin Cities and then went to college in Duluth, MN. I went to a Lutheran school for the first 12 years of my life, and I can honestly say that I am so thankful my parents chose this for me. Growing up in a religious family was something I took for granted and now am so happy for.
Once completing my college degree in exercise science after 4 years, I chose to go spend my summer in Juneau, Alaska. My friend from college, Karina came with me. We worked at restaurants for the summer and met some pretty incredible people. One of my good friends I met there, Bri is actually the person that convinced me to join the World Race and here I am going on the same route as her.
I applied to the World Race a month past the deadline, and after being accepted I knew that God was telling me this is where I belong right now. Never did I think I would be going on an 11-month mission trip after school. I feel so blessed with His guidance upon leading me to this opportunity. The things in my life that had led me up to this have not been coincidental I know that.
For those that know me well, you know my passion for photography. I am so thrilled to give back to The Lord with the talents He has given me. I want to share with others the experiences and stories over my 11 months with my photos.
This journey is not something that will be easy, I know that. But it is going to be one of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences I think I could ever sign myself up for.
