An honest disclaimer: my team and I have woken up in five different cities throughout the Philippines and Thailand within the last week, meaning that writing to you has been pushed to the back burner. Nonetheless, God’s still been FIRING at my heart with so much love and provision.

My team and I wrapped up formal ministry last week and went on a mini-vacay to camp on the most beautiful Filipino beach to my imagination. My jaw was on the floor all weekend. Since, we’ve packed our bags and made it to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where we will be for the next month. We received our ministry assignment today, but our day to day is still pretty unclear to me, so I’m going to hold off on trying to explain it to you. Stay tuned!

Since our formal ministry ended this time last week, I don’t have heaps to share. But I do have a couple items that I know you’ll be stoked about.

ITEMS YOU’LL BE STOKED ABOUT

  1. After our two weeks in the northern Philippines, my team and I witnessed God tally NINE miracles per our request. Such miracles include healing of two sets of kidney stones, a UTI, cataracts, imparted vision, arthritis, TB & accompanying shoulder pain, pneumonia, and a sty in my teammates eye. Praise God! Healings in the villages build the kingdom so much! Most people do laundry and cook for their families all day, so when something out of the ordinary happens, the whole street rallies. One of our last day in the village, Madison and I were praying healing over two sets of eyes and a third woman’s arthritis. To build faith, I started telling all the onlookers how to pray so that when we eventually left, they’d know how to pray. Every healing we asked for, I would first get an understanding of the problem, then turn to the crowd and say something like, “Rofina has highly imparted vision in both eyes. We are going to pray in Jesus’ name that she receive complete and total healing.” After the crowd witnessed Rofina receive her sight, her neighbor grabbed us by the wrists and brought us to her home which she wanted covered in prayer. The cycle was endless.

  2. Last week, Cody’s pregnant sister was rushed to the hospital because her baby’s heart rate was nearly half of what it was supposed to be. She has an autoimmune disease, increasing risk for both her and her baby. She had surgery scheduled for the following day, however all 39 of us interceded from Manila and she was miraculously sent home the next morning. Praise God!

  3. God is teaching me at an exponential rate. The way he illustrated it to me is that prior to the race, I was walking with him. But practically the moment I landed in the Philippines, I stepped foot onto the moving walkway you find in the airport and started running. The past couple of months, I’ve had so much sight of my potential, yet haven’t taken liberty to step into it. But I’m REJOICING in the fact that I’m finally walking in it. Please pray for me to continually step deeper into what God designed for me. I cannot afford to take even a single step backward. (Note: if you’re curious what exactly He’s teaching me, read “Co-Creating God’s Plans For Your Life” and “You’re So Entitled”)

Saturday morning, two friends and I are heading to Pai, Thailand where Stella feels God is calling her for the weekend. We’re expecting a divine appointment. Be praying that we be attentive, bold, and obedient to the voice of Holy Spirit. We’re going for salvations.

To those of you in LA, please know that all 39 of my teammates in Thailand spent a good chunk of our night tonight interceding on behalf of our community affected by the Thousand Oaks shooting and fires. My heart has been breaking for you all day. Last night as I was praying, I got an image of our Heavenly Father leaning on my shoulder, weeping. Know that he is mourning with you, even if you are mourning something entirely different. He has endless affections for all of his kids and sees us each. My prayer is that you would be comforted and that a spirit of peace would penetrate your heart, home, and community.
