The World Race

What is that? Where does it take place? There are so many people asking me these questions and more, and believe me I love talking about it. Actually that’s why I choose the World Race. You see, we as humans are always curious about everything. We ask questions and we learn from others, so I answer. It is not only about me going to amazing countries in 11 months; our focus is to advance the kingdom of God right now. I want to share with you a couple of my more meaningful stories, one from each country so far.

Trip to Mojo

Mojo is an indigenous area really far from Apollo, where we were staying. It was a challenging three-day hike to get there, but it was fun. We went with a group of people from Illinois. Mojo is a beautiful village of about 17 families. Most of them became Christians not too long ago because people have been going to there to minister and teach them about the Bible. It was a privilege to go and keep advancing God’s kingdom. What most impacted me in this trip was one of the older ladies. (She didn’t even speak Spanish and we needed a translator to communicate) She started crying because she had so much JOY to see that many people wanted to just hang out with them and share about the Gospel. I seriously know how that feels because every time I meet a Christian and they start talking about the Gospel in such an amazing way, I have JOY like her.

Ministering to others and planting seeds

This month my main ministry was to tell people about the Gospel. We went and talked about it in the streets and started planting seeds in others. You can read one of my favorite blogs HERE.

God also used me a lot to translate other teammate’s sermons as well as skits. One of my favorite moments was one day at a high school.  We did the everything skit, which is really powerful. After that I was sharing about the salvation message and I felt that the Holy Spirit was speaking through me, which was awesome because I knew that they were actually paying attention. That same day we prayed for them and I am pretty sure more than one accepted Christ in their lives. It was amazing.

Covi at risk kids

This is the ministry my team is working at right now and I love it. We work with kids from ages to 6 to 15. We help them with their homework and before their meals they have devotion and worship time. This is the first group. We do this with two groups. I love it so much because most of these kids don’t understand or know what is the meaning of LOVE. But guess what, we are showing them LOVE, and not the normal type of love. We are showing them JESUS’ LOVE THROUGH US!

Right now I know that this is what Jesus wants me to do, to keep spreading his kingdom more and more. But for me to be able to do this, I actually need your help in prayer and finances. Is this something God has put on your heart to do? I do think that asking people for financial help is really awkward, but sometimes God asks us to do things that we are not comfortable with to help us rely more on Him. Jesus gave us this example when He had supporters here during His earthly ministry. By partnering with others in ministry we can advance God’s kingdom.

Currently I am really behind in my finances and have 15 days to raise $3000. That is a lot of money, but it’s not too much for Him. If you sense that God wants you to give, just click here. This will take you to my blog where you will find the “Support Me!” button. Please do not feel pressured in any way. Jesus is my Provider.  If He wants me to stay with this ministry He will make a way.

May God bless you for all of your prayers and support!
