Done with Nairobi and our ministry here; its been a challenging and stretching month, but Im glad it happened. We were working on this thing called Rise Up where we went around asking Kenyans to donate food and money to take to villages who are starving. We hope to get the local churches involved and we pray that God continues to work in it..
Headed to Busia tomorrow with the crew. Super excited, were going to an orphanage and gonna potentially do work there. Paint fences, plant trees, teach kids stuff, love on some orphans-you know Jesus' work. The orphanage sits off Lake Victoria, which I'm told is beautiful, annnd Im also told theres crocodiles and hippos which means I'm excited!
I can pretty easily say I'm ready to leave Nairobi, but it has been an extreme blessing hanging out with V SQUAD the last couple days. They're on their 8 month debrief (worldrace lingo) which means they are here to process and worship and come together and debrief if you will. We were thinking about going up to see the Kenya Initiative Team then go to Busia, but God wanted us here with V. It has been super awesome and encouraged and we were just really blessed to be with them. Thanks big G.
After that, its off to the Nile to go rafting. Yeh, this is my life..
