Woah, what a day. We left our hostel yesterday and all the groups left to go to their contact to get work done.
Our group is the only group staying in the Nairobi area but even after one day we will probably go a lot of places. Catherine, the wonderful lady we are staying with lives outside the city and she manages an orphanage/school, where she is from. We will go. I am stoked.
Pastor Jimmy works for an organization called Jifahamu Kenya Foundation and has a ministry called Winning Team ministries. He took us to the office and we are working on how to get food to this village that is hungry. We will try to get a truck and food donated so we can make the 16 hour trek to deliver food to them.
We went to the slum Pastor Jimmy lives in because he left his home to live with his people because he has a heart of God and it’s awesome. Kids in the slum=break my heart. They had joy.
We saw monkeys and all freaked out and got out the car taking pictures.
We got in a Kenyan car accident. (were fine mom, just a bump apparently it happens a lot)
We feasted.
Still kinda blown away but am blessed to be here. Kids, orphans, food. To me, this is Jesus’ work.
