It really comes down to what we want to do this month.

The staircase isn't safe. The plumbing is a joke. The lice have overrun the house.

36 hours ago, my team and I walked through the doors of Shalom Children's Home. By the time our team fell asleep on the first night, we realized something could be done for the 19 children who were sleeping next to us. That was the beginning of an idea

Most American children have the opportunity of experiencing a childhood The children at Shalom Children's Home don't get that opportunity. They have all had to grow up too quickly. The children at Shalom don't get to spend their summers playing in pools. They don't get to go shopping for new clothes. What they own fits in a 1 foot by 1 foot locker.

But, it doesn't have to be that way.

By April 23rd, our team is hoping to raise enough money to take all 19 children out for a day that they will never forget. From lice treatments and haircuts, to new outfits, movie and waterparks, soccerballs and sneakers. We are hoping to bless these beautiful Sri Lankan refugee children. We want them to have a day they will never forget, but more than that We want them to know the radical and extravagent love of Christ!

But, our vision isn't just for a one day, one-time love extravaganza. We are hoping for years of blessings.

But we need your help. We are looking to raise $3,000 by April 23rd. With $3,000 we can give these 19 brothers and sisters memorys that will last a lifetime.

But bigger than that! IF we can raise more money, we can increase the quility of life for these children for years to come. New pillows, new shoes, maybe a washer and dryer. Who knows. The options are limitless.
