Our Adventures Youth Training Camp is in full swing. We’ve brought in around 50 staff to work at our sites this summer and we’ve been training them on everything from meal preparation to what it’s like to listen to the leading voice of the Lord.
Here are some very rough thoughts about the experience so far.
Corporate worship is SO POWERFUL.
I love seeing people get freedom.
Our leaders are absolutely phenomenal. Better than I could have hoped for. Oh, and I can ABSOLUTELY see God’s hand in the formation of our staff teams. Funny how He always comes through.
I’ve consumed more Red Bull this week than the rest of my life combined.
Diversity is beautiful
I’ve worked at least 12 hours a day since Monday. Cody and I have had sleep-overs every night in my living room. We get home after 11, ready to be up around 7:30. Every night we lie there in awe of what God has done the previous day. Words aren’t enough, so we just thank Jesus for a few minutes.
Almost 2500 high school students are going to go on our trips this summer and I’m convinced are going to have their worlds rocked. Not to mention the thousands of kids that will be attending our kids and sports camps. Lots of Kingdom is coming.
Wolf t-shirts are more fun when worn in groups. (read: wolf-packs)
Youth Group games are even fun with 20-somethings.
Dub step is always appropriate.
And, finally… Every sacrifice and hour of work has been worth it.
It’s going to be an amazing summer.
I will be leaving a week from today to begin my field support tour. Please pray for me as I will be traveling most of June and July. More updates to come. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.
