Do you ever feel that God provides you with the time you need to be with him but at the strings times. ( This blog is being brought to you from a  Publix parking lot as I wait for  a tow truck)

To be hones I have really struggled this month to find time to have me and God time. I work for a company that provides direct deposit stubs online for hundreds of companies and for some of our clients we also provide their W2s online. The past two weeks I have worked about 70 hours each week, 7 days a week. I have become so overwhelmed with work that this is pretty much all that I think about recently. It has also has had me mentally and physically tired. By the time I get home I just want to go to bed. I would set my alarm to get up a little earlier than need to make time for the Lord, but lately I have been sleeping right through my alarm and than having to rush out the door. The only time that I have consciously given to the Lord has been during my normal Sunday service but no small group, and in my car during my commute as I listen to KLove.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

James 1:22

This past month I feel that I have been deceiving myself and have only  been hearing and not actively living the word. As I sit here I make the conscious decision that I do not want to be a just a hearer but a doer. I will have the time to spend with the Lord and will not put him second in my life.

A friend of mine recently told me that she has  a reminder on her phone to alert her at the same time every day and all it says is PRAY. Everyone can get so wrapped up n everything else that is going on around us, and I thing that this is a great reminder that in the middle of everything we mu STOP living our lives and live for him.

Although I am not happy that I am going to have to pay a good amount of money to get my car running again, I am so glad that I was able to have this time to be with the Lord. I needed my time with him and he provided.

Even in the darkest hours you can find a spark of light (I am sitting in a rented Spark, lol). Remember always to look towards the light as it will over come the darkness.

Well Micheal the tow truck driver is  here 🙂 Have a  great day!!
