Here we go again. let’s talk about it.
I’m beyond excited to invite y’all into the next journey the Lord has orchestrated for me! I’m doing the race again! well kinda. For this next season i have been asked to come back and lead a gap year trip for their first three months in South Africa! But truly this isn’t about the next exciting adventure i’m going on, this is about an incredible Father who keeps overflowing His love on me and taking another big step of faith!
unpopular opinion but traveling isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Yes, there’s a thrill with experiencing a new culture and exploring what some times feels like a whole different world. But that thrill shrivels in comparison with how great and intimate my God is. Traveling the world is only made great when you find Him in everything. my next squad, to be completely honest, has no idea what’s coming for them (in the best way possible) and i can only say that cause looking back now even just on my first three months it was a whirlwind of community, Jesus, culture, love, personality’s, service, worship, identity crisis’s, and a whole bunch more that no matter how many words i use can’t explain the beauty of it all coming together for His glory!!
step by painstakingly slow step the Lord has walked along side me in this year. Despite what it might look like this race hasn’t been some big exciting adventure. It’s tested my faith, it’s spotlighted my weaknesses, it’s broken me down, it’s allowed me to discover what i sincerely value in life, it’s brought out doubt and questions, it’s gifted me time to uncover my truest self in Him, it’s been beautifully stretching and uncomfortable, and above all it’s been a blessing to fall deeply in love with my Creater all over again. And He has more for me.
I have learned and grown in ways i would have never imagined and what good are these fruits unless and i can share them!!! ahhhh and now i have one of the most incredible opportunities to share them with this generation of passionate and hungry young adults just like me! what an underserving blessing it will be for me to walk alone side them and mentor them throughout this glorious time.
