When asked where I am going, I can spit out the 11 countries of Chile, Peru, Columbia, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic in about 3 seconds. BUT, this list is no longer accurate..
We had a route change- and I am beyond excited about it! Instead of visiting the Caribbean island that is split into Haiti and the DR, we will be staying in Asia for two additional months! Vietnam and the island of Indonesia will instead be our destination as opposed to the Caribbean! In addition to these small changes, we will be splitting our three months in South American between four countries instead of just three! Between Peru and Columbia, we will be traveling through and stopping in Ecuador! With these changes, the order in which we will visit countries has also shifted slightly- it is now Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Columbia, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia!
In Chile, I will be located in the northern city of Calama! We will be partnering with Iglesia Bautista Betel where we will likely be teaching English classes, doing children ministry (a.k.a. playing so much soccer), and assisting in the Church’s programs and administrative duties. I am so excited to build relationships with the people of Chile and experience their culture first hand.
