You heard it, friends. The same journey the Lord used to change so much of my life, I get to do it all over again. Except this time as a team leader. I will fly out with my team of eight ladies to South Africa in just a couple weeks.

This is my heart and passion. I will be on the field with my team for three months. Aside from logistical things, communication with our hosts, and facilitating daily team times, I get to walk out this journey next to them. I get to watch them come alive with the power of the Gospel and the sweet presence of Holy Spirit. I get to stand with them as the Father breaks their hearts for what breaks His and call them into deeper relationship with Him. I get to steward their stories and pray over them and pray with him and rejoice as they experience in new ways who Love is. I get to help lead them into real Kingdom community with each other and with His kids around the globe.

It is a dream that I get to live with my eyes wide open. And this I know to be true. Every hard and painful moment is worth it every time because at the end of this thing I gain more of Jesus. He alone satisfies my soul.

In the midst of all the dreamy goodness and passion fulfilled, this was not an easy yes to give. It cost me a lot. But nothing can replace Jesus as my heart’s desire. Not the comforts of home, nor the experience and deep privilege of traveling, nor the gifts and passions He has placed within me.

He is the Giver of good things and Lover of my soul, and He is good and He is love no matter what. Following Jesus is costly- it costs comfort, pride, and things that seem really really good. But there is no end to the richness that exists in the person of Holy Spirit and to be with Him is everything.

To be with Him is everything. It is worth more than any riches in this world.

And this is why I go. Yes, I’m going to lead this team of women but above all else I go because this Jesus who is worth everything to me has beckoned me here. This “yes” to Him is worth it each and every time. I have deep peace and honest joy as I prepare to go because I know Jesus who meets me here will meet me there in the cities of South Africa.

Through it all I am seeing more of Him. Praise Him that I get to live it out with people who are gaining more of Him by giving up the comforts of this world. He’s what all this is about. May I never forget.

If you would like to walk with me in what the Lord is doing here and now among nations and in His people, please pray for us. If you feel led to financially support me so I can follow Jesus in leading this team, you can do so by the “Donate” tab on this blog.

Thank you and endless love.
