Welcome to my blog!
My name is Abby, and I’m 23 years old. I am currently working as a mentor at a therapeutic Christian boarding school for at-risk teens called Shelterwood Academy. I graduated from Appalachian State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. I grew up in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina with two amazing parents and one older sister.
I love humans, I love getting to invest in people, and learn about their complexities. I love adventure, being spontaneous, exploring, being outdoors, and simply being around people I love. I’ve been blessed with opportunities to do these things with experiences in life.
Growing up in a small town had it’s perks, but I have always been the type of person to go, get out, meet people, and explore new things. I’ve been able to do just that through experiences in college, jobs, trips, volunteering and so on. In the midst of that my passion for getting to love people has increased, and as God has presented His heart to me more and more I have a deep longing for others to know Him too. There is urgency in the Gospel, and I am so dang pumped to get to share God’s love to people in ELEVEN different countries! What a gift. So, here we go!!
