HEY FRIENDS! Long time no talk:) Last time we talked I was in Longview TX, now I’m in Gainesville GA, and LOVING every minute of it! It’s an absolute dream:) Before I spill the tea about what the Lord has been teaching me and what life is like here, I want to introduce you to MY TEAM: TEAM MESA!! This is Alex R! Or Lex Mex! She is full of SO MUCH JOY and laughs! Her love for ribs is unmatched! She fiercely pursues the Lord and dives deep into His word! She even started a Bible study on Saturday mornings for our team!

Mary the snack queen! She is an incredible listener, super smart and so evidently in love with the Father. She stands strong in who He says she is! Also, she is really really good at singing the “boy” riff in that one Beyonce song:)

What is one word that the Lord has been putting on your heart?: Daughter and Garden
Annie!! AH, what a JOY and LIGHT she is! She has such a patient heart that is always willing to jump into adventure! The light of the Lord works through her as she puts up our hammocks, and tells one of her crazy stories.

This is Emma!! She is truly one of a kind and such a blessing to have on team Mesa! I love her love for nature and the beauty around her! Her honesty and kindness are such a treasure! wow I love her.

Sweet Madeline*bah bah bah* !!! Madeline is the kindest soul! She has the biggest heart for serving people and is so good at making people feel loved! She’s also sitting next to me making up songs about our team and hands, so she kinda rocks.

What is one word that the Lord has been putting on your heart?: FREEDOM
Sam(Alumni Team Leader)/ SAM P/ Samantha/ Sammie Wammie! WOW what a leader!! She is truly clothed with strength and dignity. Her words echo life, blessing, and sweet truth of the Father. I adore her goofy personality, her amazing impressions, and her heart for worship. We don’t talk about the fact that she’ll be leaving us in January:((

What is one word that the Lord has been putting on your heart?:
MILLY CHEESESTEAK(Squad Leader)!! Milly’s heart is pure gold. She asks hard questions and genuinely cares about the answer. Her search for His truth is a testament to her pursuit of Lord! She has the blessing of leading TWO squads!! She’s MAD competitive and makes me pee my pants when we play spike ball ahaha.

Our name, Mesa, stemmed from a hilarious scramble of us trying to make the first letters of our name into a word(saaamme wasn’t cutting it). BUT sweet Milly pointed out that we could make the word MESA with a few of them. Mesa is Spanish for table and wow does that represent our team well. Psalm 23:4-6 says, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” The Lord of comfort and prosperity KNEW we would/will face trials of many kinds and His provision counters that. It encourages me to not be afraid to sit at the table because God pulled out my chair.
It also has reminded us to, “come to the table”. BRING YOUR BURDENS. Bring your baggage. In His name there is no shame! There is no blame! There is no condemnation! We’re invited to lay it all out on the table! The Lord is eagerly and patiently waiting for you and me to sit and lay everything we have on His banquet table.
