I had no idea the amount of preparation that needed to be done! These past couple of days have been crazy, as I have just made my move from Florida to Indiana official. As I finally get settled in, I begin to focus on the details of the trip and dang there’s a lot of things that need to get done asap! Such as, fundraising, buying and packing all my gear, vaccinations, international credit card use, switching banks, ordering shirts, seeking out counseling… and so on! It’s insane, but also beautiful at the same time. Whenever I start to freak out (which happens on the daily), I just have to remember why I am doing this. Why am I putting so much pressure on myself? The answer is because while I am sitting here freaking out here in my car with the A/C on, drinking my pumpkin spice latte, and T-swift playing in the background, there are people out there who don’t have even most basic necessities and have no idea of who God even is. I am so blessed to have what I have, but i’ll admit I definitely don’t appreciate it like I should. God didn’t call me to just go to church on Sundays and pray before dinner. He called me to go into the world, whether I am prepared or not, to serve Him and others the best way I could. So yes, I am extremely scared and probably under prepared, but I know that God will be with me every step of the way and in the end it will all fall into place!
