When I first started thinking about going on The World Race Gap year I was so excited to go around the world and serve God. I kept thinking about who I would go with, what each country was going to be like, and most importantly how God was going to work through me and my team.

I think about what it takes to be a World Racer and if I will be prepared to go, but I believe God doesn’t want us to be fully prepared. He wants us to trust in Him and have faith in His words. If we fall (and we will because we are human) we can trust that He will catch us; as hard as it is going to be to leave family and friends we cannot lean on them for strength anymore. To be a World Racer means to fully trust our God, love each person we meet, and to never forget that we have all been called and chosen by God to serve him.

Thats what being a Racer means to me.
