“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. for the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3
I love Hebrews because of all the truth in it and how much God speaks to us through this book of the bible. What I love about these couple of verses is that God is telling us to not walk but RUN to Him, that no matter what has happened in the past He loves us and we are His children.
Life is a race that we can either run with and toward God or we try running away but by running towards God we will be able to live our life full of Gods glory and love. A race can be hard and tiring but the joy of crossing that finish line wipes away all the pain of our tired bodies. So run towards Him and push through that pain to cross that finish line.
