Senior Year. A year of many lasts. My last science class, my last football game, my last homecoming, my last school lunch… But what is next? This is the question that everyone gets senior year. Where are you going to school? Have you applied yet? For me, the answer is a little bit different.
After a lot of thinking and prayer, I have decided to take a gap year between high school and college. I have decided to step outside of my comfort zone, to live with people who I haven’t know my whole life, and to follow His lead.
The World Race Gap Year is a 9-month long mission trip to 5 different countries. My specific route will be traveling to Swaziland, Lesotho, India, Nepal, & Nicaragua. While gone, I will be ministering to those who may not know Jesus, loving on people who may not even know what love is, serving youth, orphans, sex trafficking victims, and more. I will be giving my all to spread the love of Jesus.
While preparing for the race, I will have to do a number of activities to fund raise for my trip. I need to raise just under $15,000 to be fully funded for this amazing year ahead of me. This money will cover traveling expenses, food, housing, and much more. If you are interested in donating to my fund, you can do it right here on my blog, or through check. I will also be selling t-shirts, and if you are interested, shoot me and email and I will get back to you as soon as possible! If you are unable to support me financially, I ask you to support me through prayer, and lots of it! Thank you to everyone who is going to be a part of this Journey!
Lastly, thank you to everyone who is supporting me and praying– I sure do feel the love. If you would like to contact me to talk about fundraising or just the trip in general, you can email at [email protected]. I could not be more excited for the next year that will be filled with stress, fundraising, prayer, and most importantly, lots of Jesus.
Love Y’all,
Abigael
